How it works
Snap it. Read once. Then it's gone.
Point, tap, done. Stool Mate reads the shape, consistency, colour and size, gives you a Bristol type, and throws the photo away. It never touches your camera roll and it never lands on a share card.
- 1SnapEvery photo gets a result. No retakes, no awkward second attempts.
- 2Read onceYour result arrives in seconds. Edit anything that looks off: you have the final say.
- 3DiscardedThe photo dissolves. Only the result is kept, in your log.
Smooth, soft, easy. The sweet spot.

Your photo is discarded the moment your result is ready.
Patterns, not paperwork.
A few taps a day turns into rings, lines and bars that actually tell you something: how often you land in the sweet spot, how regular your rhythm is, and what time of day you're most… reliable.

Morning personWeekly gut score too: a habit score built from logging days, rhythm and sweet-spot share. A bit of fun, not a health measure.
No photo needed. Just pick what it was like.
Missed a day? No drama.
Missed days show up on Today, and you can fill them in by hand in a couple of taps. No photo, no guilt: just pick the closest shape and roughly when.
- "Didn't go" counts. It's a real answer, and it keeps your log honest.
- Streak saver. Fill a gap within 48 hours and your streak stays alive.
- Marked "Added later". Back-filled days still count towards your trends.
The Good Gut Club. Now with friends.
Invite your people, race to six-of-seven, and send a 🔥 when someone's slacking. Challenges reward habits, like showing up and logging on time, never what's in the bowl.

Apple Health, read‑only.
Connect sleep, steps, water and more, and Stool Mate can spot what tends to go with your good days. It only reads. It never writes, and the data stays put.

The deal
Privacy isn't a feature. It's the whole point.
- Read, then gone
Processed in seconds, then discarded. Never stored anywhere, by anyone.
- Never in your camera roll
We don't keep a copy, on your phone or anywhere else.
- Never on share cards
Cards and friends only ever see the stats you pick.
- Your log, your iCloud
Kept on your iPhone and in your private iCloud. We have no access to it. Switch sync off any time.
- No ads, no selling, no training
No trackers or ad SDKs. Your photos and logs never train anyone's AI. Delete everything from Settings whenever you like.
Questions you were too polite to ask.
Anything else? The support page has more, or email faraz@autosolvelabs.com.
Is this a medical app?
No. Stool Mate is a wellness tracker for building habits and noticing your own patterns. It doesn't diagnose anything, and results are estimates for personal tracking.
If something feels off, or you're simply unsure, a chat with a doctor is always a good idea.
Do you keep my photos?
Never. Your photo is read once to give you a result and discarded the moment that result is ready. It isn't saved on your phone, in your camera roll, on our side or anywhere else. The privacy policy explains exactly how.
Do I have to use the camera?
Not at all. Quick log lets you tap the closest of seven shapes, and missed days are always filled in by hand. The camera is there for when you'd rather not squint at a chart.
Who can see my log?
Just you. Your log lives on your iPhone and, if you leave iCloud sync on, in your own private iCloud. We can't see it.
What do friends actually see?
Only what you switch on: your weekly gut score, streaks, badges and challenge day counts. Never your entries, times, types, colours, notes or Health data. Everything starts switched off.
What's a gut score?
A weekly 0–100 habit score made from how many days you logged, how regular your rhythm was and your share of sweet-spot days. It's a bit of fun, not a health measure.
How do I delete my data?
Settings › Delete everything. It wipes your log on this phone and in iCloud, deletes your Stool Mate account, friends and all, and disconnects Sign in with Apple. Step-by-step here.
Your gut's best mate is waiting.
Strictly confidential, slightly cheeky, and ready when you are.
